Controlling Ambient Humidity and Light Exposure
Because we refuse to add silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, or artificial flow agents to our botanical and protein powders, each grain remains in its raw, natural state. Without synthetic anti-caking compounds, your powders rely on physical barriers to stay dry. Clear plastic tubs allow ultraviolet rays to penetrate and accelerate the rancidity of delicate milk fats, while thin bags permit microscopic vapor transmission through porous film walls.
Tool Selection and Jar Care
Every time you dip a wet hand or a damp spoon into a storage vessel, you introduce hundreds of microscopic water droplets that trigger localized bacterial growth and dense clumping. We recommend transferring your bulk powders into heavyweight amber or violet glass jars that seal with a dense silicone gasket.
- Dry Implement Rule: Keep a dedicated wooden or stainless steel dry scoop inside the canister; never wash the scoop and return it damp.
- Cool Dark Shelving: Store your collection in a dark pantry cupboard held between 15 and 21 degrees Celsius.
- Desiccant Care: Retain the natural clay desiccant pack near the bottom of your jar to capture any stray moisture from daily opening.
Resolving Unexpected Clumping
If seasonal humidity causes your creatine or whey to gather into soft cakes, avoid shaking the jar violently. Instead, press the clusters gently against a fine stainless steel mesh sieve using the back of a dry spoon to restore uniform grain separation without damaging the material structure.
